There are 17 species of penguins in the world. Of the 17 species only 4 breed on the Antarctic Continent, the Adelie, Emperor. Chinstrap, and Gentoo. Most other species are found within the subantarctic regions which include many coastal islands.

There are 35 species of seals in the world, 6 of which live in the Antarctic region. Antarctic Fur Seals, Crabeater Seals, Leopard Seals, Ross Seals, and Weddell Seals call Antactica home. The Leopard Seal's favorite food is Penguin.
There are 46 species of birds in Antarctica, which include
Albatrosses, Shearwaters, Petrels, Storm Petrels, Diving Petrels, Cormorants, Bitterns, Sheathbills, Herons, Egrets, Ducks, Geese Swans, Skuas, Jaegers, Gulls and Terns, of course Penguins.
